Memorial Day #2
Hiking White Oak Canyon in the Shenandoah, the happy location of a fabulously fun natural water slide. In the picture, Yvonne descends while I watch in the foreground (I did it too, but no pictures). Awwwwweeeesooommme.

I survived Old Rag
What up. It's been a while since I posted because I've been busy, mostly with things that would make anyone not really, really into telecom standards cry with boredom. Exception: my hike this past Saturday up Old Rag Mt. in the Shenandoah. One of those "you get out of it what you put into it" hikes - i.e. tough but rewarding. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to summit, which is a decent if not record-breaking pace. Our timing ("our" because I was with ten other intrepid hikers) was perfect; the weather was warm but not hot, and the sky had nary a cloud. Rock!
