I survived Old Rag

What up. It's been a while since I posted because I've been busy, mostly with things that would make anyone not really, really into telecom standards cry with boredom. Exception: my hike this past Saturday up Old Rag Mt. in the Shenandoah. One of those "you get out of it what you put into it" hikes - i.e. tough but rewarding. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to summit, which is a decent if not record-breaking pace. Our timing ("our" because I was with ten other intrepid hikers) was perfect; the weather was warm but not hot, and the sky had nary a cloud. Rock!

Pictures available on my photo page. Word.

Morris Cabin

Just got back from a great long weekend at PATC cabin Morris. I and eleven others enjoyed great camp food, a roaring fire, an adventurous hike in the woods, and much tomfoolery. More later, persnaps.

(5/21/07 - This just in! There won't be more. I am such a liar. You really should have seen that coming.)

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

The long search has ended! I just accepted an offer today from ATIS to be their Committee Administrator for IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) Interoperability. The Committee is made up of four task forces, three of which I will have sole responsibility for. The salary is great, the benefits are good.......but most importantly I have a job!!!!!! Aaaahhhhhh! Finally!
